Hurricane Charley - Damage to Riser

I learned some new terminology as a result of the storm. "Riser" is the pipe that rises from the house, to which the power cables are attached. A "weather-head" is the inverted-J cap atop the riser that somehow facilitates the attachment.

When the tree fell, is snapped off the power lines and damaged our riser. In order for power to be restored, this assemblage would have to be fixed, so this was the first thing we did.

Here's what it looked like after the tree had had its way with it. It's not supposed to bend like that.
The nice electrician came by on the Monday following the storm and set it to rights.
This is the replacement riser and weather-head in place, all ready for the power company's tender attentions. Unfortunately, they didn't come by for another four days.
